Tips for organizing a party

I would like to give you some valuable information on how to avoid awkward situations at a party or

Some reasons why a party could go wrong:

  1. Not knowing your audience - sometimes there are situations, that you have to organize a party, but you don't know your guests too well. The best advice - always try to find out as much, as possible about them, starting with age, gender, beliefs, nationality, language etc. The reason why it could go wrong - you prepare some games, that you think are good, but the guests might find them not appropriate
  2. Break the ice - often there are people going to the same party, not knowing each other at all. This is why they call them ice breaker games - to break the ice :D! These games allow people to find out things about each other, make conversations, give them topics or even just a good laughter , might open them up
  3. Different age - sometimes there are parties, where the guests will be from children to senior age.  In this case it is important to think about everyone - divide them in groups, have different activities for each group. Other solution might be games, like family reunion games or games in teams, where you team people by age
  4. No interest - sometimes the people are so busy with talking and just enjoying each other company, that all the activities you prepared aren't interesting enough for them. Allow them to enjoy them selves, there will be a moment they will stop whatever they are doing and then it is the best moment to do whatever you had in mind. Never interrupt them!
  5. Too much alcohol - yes, this might be a problem if you have program, that would start not at the beginning of the party. People will have some time to drink and by the time the activities start, they will be drunk or even too drunk! It will be much better to have your program at the beginning of the party.
